Frederik De Wachter
Frederik studied Economics at Ghent University and went on to make name for himself as entrepreneur/music lover, taking a special interest in informatics, the internet and social media. He introduced the internet to music company NEWS in 1996. Four years later, he was combining business development in a joint venture of Belgacom and De Pos and launched a popular Ghent club.
Gunther Vincke
Gunther has a graduate in Computer Sciences. He was a researcher for the Alcatel ADSL team and co-managed entertainment startups such as Technologie Adviseur. His strengths include identifying, researching, developing and introducing technological innovations and business ideas. Gunther is a new media specialist and advises Belgian 3D pioneer Eyetronics as Strategy Officer in the build-up of a B2C-directed social media strategy.
Bart De Waele
In 1995, Bart graduated as accountant and became Electronic Banking Advisor for KBC Bank. In the meantime, he professionalized his passion for the internet, before starting off as independent web designer in 1999. In 2002, he co-founded the company Netlash with Dirk Sabbe. Meanwhile, he specialized himself in information architecture and website usability. He is a certified Usability Engineer (Leuven University). In 2008, he founded, together with 4 other internet entrepreneurs, Talking Heads, which soon became the Belgian market leader in social media strategy.
Tim Rootsaert
Tim enriched the team with a deeper knowledge of the media and the cultural sector. As co-manager for Scentor, he developed a firm reputation as motivated project administrator and passionate entrepreneur. As head producer and co-manager of radio station Urgent.fm, he instigated the development of a much praised creative organization. Tim’s insights guarantee a no-nonsense and result oriented project approach.
IBBT
Tagger.fm is an IBBT-startup. Like our founding mother, we attribute a great deal of importance to research and knowledge sharing. After all, the online and mobile habits of fans change fast. Swift anticipation and innovation is vital.
IBBT (Interdisciplinary Institute for Broadband Technology) is an independent research institution supported by the Flemish government that stimulates innovation in the ICT-sector. The IBBT-team offers companies and organizations active support in research and development, for which it brings together various companies, governments and non-profit organizations in research projects. Through multidisciplinary research, IBBT educates people as highly competent specialists in different aspects of broadband technology. IBBT conducts this multidisciplinary investigation for Flemish businesses and the Flemish government. This encompasses all technological, legal and social dimensions of development and management of broadband services. The Flemish government invests in multidisciplinary broadband research. The goal: to make Flanders into a leading, internationally acknowledged player in the information society of the future.
